The tenth, eleventh and twelfth published works of Oxengham's main Abbey Series, bound in a single volume, but with individual pagination to each work.Initially published in 1928, 1929, and 1930, present here are 'The Abbey Girls Win Through', 'The Abbey Girls at Home', and 'The Abbey Girls Play Up'.Elsie Jeanette Dunkerley, known under her pen name 'Oxenham', was best known for her Abbey series, and is considered a major figure among girls' story writers in the first half of the twentieth century.With former owner's inscriptions to the front pastedown and front free endpaper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Light shelf wear to spine tail, with rubbing to spine head. Mark to centre of back strip, with handling marks to front board. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
