Jonathan Cape, 1934. Hardcover. Good. 1934. Second Impression. 454 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering. Black and white photographic plates,maps and fold out maps throughout. Black and white frontispiece. Pages bright and clear with some tanning and foxing, particularly to textblock edges and endpapers. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and some tanning and marking to surfaces. Spine tanned and stained with mild crushing top and bottom. Gilt lettering is dulled. Boards are bowed.
