Edward Thurlow Leeds (1877-1955) was an archaeologist and museum curator who at the time of this correspondence was Assistant Keeper at the Ashmolean Museum. Most of the letters are published here for the first time: only 4 were included in David Garnett's Letters of T. E. Lawrence.
