Sections also cover such details as, the anti-aircraft defences around Berchtesgaden; the RAF air raid of April, 1945; the American occupation of the area in May, 1945; post-war reconstruction, and 'The Eagle's Nes' today. There is even a page devoted to Hitler's Mercedes-Benz limousine. The book's photographs are remarkable, some never before published, showing Hitler, Eva Braun, and other Nazi officials in and around the building. There are black & white internal and external contemporary shots, before, during, and after the war, plus photographs of the building today in colour.
