This monograph was prepared to document the extensive holdings of Thomas Eakins' photographic output, in the Charles Bregler Collection at the Pennsylvania Academy. The book documents 648 images in all, three quarters of Eakins known photographs. 173 photographs are reproduced here in black & white. Many of them are male nudes. Essays by Anne McCauley, Elizabeth Johns and Mary Panzer. Introduction by Susan Danly and Cheryl Lebold. Glossary of photographic terms. Bibliography. 10" square, 235 pages.
