The Whitewater Federation of Women's Clubs, 1906. HB. Green cloth, gilt lettering on spine and white lettering on front cover, small 8vo, viii, 283 pp. Frontis portrait of the author. History of the early settlement of Whitewater, Wisconsin. Written by Prosper Cravath covering the years 1837-1857, continued by Spencer S. Steele for the years 1857-1867. Edited by Albert Salisbury. Book is divided into four parts. First is by Cravath, with chapters by year. Second part is reminiscences of Steele, again by year. Third part is miscellaneous Articles and Sketches, written by several persons, and fourth part is brief biographies of prominent pioneers. With 21 illustrations (full page plates) within text of leading citizens of Whitewater, and an index of names at rear. Printed by the Evening Wisconsin Company of Milwaukee. Owner's name, in pencil, ffep only mark in book, binding tight. Very light wear to corners of covers. Book condition VG+. Uncommon.
