The dust jacket with modest wear and rubbed along the spine edges.48 pages; 9 inches tall; 8 colored plates and 26 monochrome illustrations in the text.. 'Britain in Pictures' (BIP), published by Collins, was a series of books appearing between 1941 and 1950 as a significant contribution to wartime propaganda.
The blurb on the first dust-jackets declared 'The English have never been good at describing themselves or their ways, either for their own benefit or the benefit of others'.
