Very good maroon cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with gilt letter to spine and blindstamp decoration to cover that says Astor Edition shows some mild shelfwear and soil to covers, bit of soil at page edges and some light toning to pages. 366 pages with frontispiece photo of Bryant. Still a pleasing copy of these early poems from Bryant with accompanying biographical sketch by Dole.
