About This Item

OFFPRINT from Renaissance Quarterly XXX.3, Autumn 1977, pages 301-304. In 1451 a Florentine physician lent his copy of the Logic, by Aristotelian philosopher Paulus Venetus, for the use of 17-year-old Marsilio Ficino in tutoring Piero de' Pazzi. This record establishes that Ficino was well founded in Aristotle. I found the ledger entry in 1974; Kristeller not only smiled, he beamed. Water-rippled but clean & good. Stock#32220x/h.
