A chapter each for Charles Dickens, William Makepeace Thackeray, Charlotte Brontë, Emily Brontë, Elizabeth Gaskell, Anthony Trollope and George Eliot. Indexed. Maroon boards with silver titles to spine are very clean but with a hint of a bump to one corner. Dust jacket is very clean and complete though very slightly sunned to spine. Very good copy in like dust jacket . Hardback. 1980.
