Contains black and white illustrated plates by Phil May, Joseph Pennell and L. Raven Hill. Pages are rough cut. Pages are lightly tanned and heavily foxed, with a few nicks and creases along text block edge. Moderate cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding remains mostly firm. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Water staining through upper corners. Plates are lightly tanned and moderately foxed. Slight tearing to rear pages. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Moderate tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Slight bubbling to spine.
