About This Item

George H. Doran, January 1926. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair - Cash/No Jacket. Colophon under the copyright date. General surface and edge wear to the cover. Light soiling to the cover. Discoloration to the spine. The corners have been bumped. Boards are exposed in the corners and along the bottom edge of the back cover. The cover is beginning to fray where the boards are showing. The binding has a slight tilt. There's a tear at the top edge of the spine that reveals a bit of the boarding beneath. There are several cracks in the spine throughout the book. Both hinges are broken. An excerpt about the author and the book has been glued to the first free endpage. Previous owner's name inside. Pages show reader and age wear. There are several cracks in the spine throughout the book. There are a few tears in the cracks that are beginning to show the netting. Binding is still tight and pages are secure. **Includes 'Black Country', which was later replaced by 'Uncle Reuben' in the 1928 British publications. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

About The Book Garden

Just as the Tardis is bigger on the inside – you will just have to see it to believe! We have over 4000 square feet of as many books as we could sort, stack and tower housed inside this innocent looking storefront. We also have inventory off-site, so if you don’t see what you are looking for – just ask! Love the smell of books? Daydream about getting locked in the library? This is the place for you – located at the very center of downtown Bountiful. Selling gently loved books since 1985.
