About This Item

Norfolk, Virginia: The Chrysler Museum, 1982. 135 pages. Profusely illustrated study of extant Eastern Shore raised panel furniture:clothes presses, blanket chests, flat-wall cupboards, bookcases, turkey-breast cupboards, and corner cupboards. The authors state that their purpose is to "provide a comprehensive documentation and comparative study of the presently known examples of this regionally characteristic southern furniture group." This book remains the definitive work on the subject. The book is in very good to near-fine condition: clean and bright; possibly unread. There is some fading along the spine and top edge of the front cover.. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good+. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
