A second edition, in red wraps, was later issued in 1,000 copies. "Eastern span is a neo-noir novel set in Oakland, Calif., circa 2013-2014. The story follows Pug, a down-on-his-luck gig economy worker, as he stumbles and bumbles through gentrifying Oakland's bougie cafes, dive-bars-turned-cocktail-joints, and its ever-expanding homeless encampments as he tries to find an old, lost friend. Along the way, our hero Pug stumbles across a housing conspiracy that goes all the way to the top."-rear wrapper.
