No dustwrapper, some fading to spine of red boards, gilt titles theron are also faded but still readable, some bumping to spine ends and corners, yellowing to the pages, but otherwise a good tight copy of this hard-cover adventure story for boys. The story involves two boys who discover a cave used by smugglers on the Scottish coast only to be kidnapped by the smugglers and taken to Egypt, then India. Originally published in 1933, this is a later reprint from 1939. The author's real name was Lawrence Harbourn (1879-1941). 288pp, colour frontispiece.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
