Octavo (24cm); hunter green and dark yellow cloth, with titles and author's facsimile signature stamped in gilt on spine and front cover; dustjacket; [8], 312pp. Bookplate signed by the author loosely laid in. Fine in a Very Good dustjacket, unclipped (priced $7.95), with mild wear to extremities and five tears mended with clear tape on verso. The author's fifth book, containing a novella and four long stories.

Synopsis

John Fowles won international recognition with his first published novel, The Collector (1963). His subsequent works include The Magus (1966); The French Lieutenant's Woman (1969); Daniel Martin (1977); and others.
