Marbled fore-edges and endsheets. The set is in overall very good antiquarian condition. Some wear to the leather at the hinges, most especially to the corners and spine of Volume I; With dings to the board edges. Previous owner's bookplate on all front paste-downs. Slight paper loss at some of the endhseets. Foxing to the fore-edges, preliminary and terminal pages and at some of the text. The hinges are starting. The textblocks are largely, clean, bright, unmarked, and complete. The bindings are tight.
