About This Item
Glasgow: Gowans & Gray Ltd, 1924. Two small bits clipped out from edges of dustwrapper; one at bottom end of spine, the other at bottom edge of front panel. Both had original price (6/-) on, so a price-clipped dustwrapper, but not in the usual manner. Slight bumping to spine ends of blue boards, some old sellotape marks inside front and back covers, a later owner's name and date (1961) on f/ep, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Deals with the Clyde-built paddle-steamers, mostly looking at the period between the 1840s and 1860s. 196pp, 31 b&w illustrations including folding frontispiece.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
