Red cloth with gilt-on black sp. title panel, no significant faults. f/piece + xiii + 898, text-figs of various kinds throughout inc. at least one full page photo plates with 2 figs, these all numbered by chapter; front end-paper has a blank ex-lib plate as issued by publisher, small label of 'Central News Agency, Ltd/ Handel House Branch' in Johannesburg but same, presumably the book-seller, otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. Unclipped jacket in protective sleeve as acquired appears to have only slight top sp. rubbing with a very tiny chip to bottom, and a few very faint marks to back15.5 cm x 23 cm
