Chicago: LAST Publications, 1983. First edition. Pamphlet. A Latino literary journal published out of Chicago. This issue includes a poem "Roosevelt Rd./ 1200 South / Chicago" and a short prose piece, " A Rice Sandwich" by Sandra Cisneros. The poem was part of Cisneros's MFA these but has not been collected in a book; the prose appeared a year later in A House on Mango Street. Covers a bit scuffed, else near fine in wrappers. Signed by Cisneros at her contribution.

Commpilers paid close attention to the selection of paintings that accompany the texts and photos, excellent stuff about which we are not knowledgeable. Great copy, sound, clean and unmarked. Contributors to this volume include John Steinbeck (excerpt from Tortilla Flat on the gradual consumption of a bottle of beer) and Hoover Institution Archives (flour). David Mas Masumoto offers thoughts on farming.
