This book, written when Barber was just 28, discusses his climbing career from his teens in Yosemite, Australia,and elsewhere, through the controversy surrounding his 1978 attempt on , when his climbing partner Rob Taylor was seriously injured with a badly broken ankle and accused Barber of abandoning him.
