Boston: Little, Brown and Company; (1961). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Stated first edition, very good+ in a very good+ dust jacket. Owner's name on front pastedown behind front flap of jacket; top edge of page block is a little spotted/dusty. The jacket has small closed tears and a tiny chip at the bottom of the spine and a little edgewear. The white lettering on the jacket spine is slightly darkened. There is a name written in ink on the unprinted side of the jacket near the top of the spine, but this can only be seen when the jacket is removed from the book (and the brodart protector). $5.00 price on jacket flap; dark gray cloth is unfaded (except for tiny spot at bottom of spine), and the book is tight and square. Winner of the 1962 Pulitzer Prize.
Synopsis
The Edge of Sadness is a novel by the American author Edwin O'Connor. It was published in 1961 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1962. The story is about a middle-aged Catholic priest in New England.
