Theere are no markings or signs of prior use. The binding is dark blue buckram with gold titles. There is just a whisper of wear to top and tail of spine. The hinges are sound. The pages are lightly but attractively toned to a creamy beige. The top of the textblock is gilt with very little tarnish. You will be pleased with this set. Careful packing, fast shipping, with tracking numbr provided. ; 988 pages .
