About This Item
First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by Princeton University Press, 1996. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped, no wear to the jacket. 336 pages with Index, Bibliography, and several Appendices. Edited by Frederick Wegener. A collection of the critical reviews and essays by Wharton. There is a focus on her literary criticism, but there are also essays on architecture, poetry, and art as well as her Prefaces and Forewords for the books of other authors. This copy has no former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. The edges of the text block are clean. As is the case for Princeton University Press editions, the dark green cloth covered boards are sturdy, and the binding is a high quality sewn type. Boards are clean and the corners are not bumped. We have several listings on Edith Wharton.
