London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1915. Cloth. Very Good. 11" by 9". Edmund Dulac. A charming edition of this children's book of stories and songs by French illustrator Edmund Dulac. Collated, complete with twenty tipped-in colour plates. Edmund Dulac was a French British magazine and book illustrator and stamp designer, primarily known for his illustrations in the novels of the Brontë Sisters. During World War I, Dulac produced relief books such as 'King Albert's Book' (1914), 'Princess Mary's Gift Book', and this text, his 'Picture-Book for the French Red Cross'. In a yellow cloth binding. Externally, sound with some shelfwear. Bumped to head and tail of spine. Marks to boards. Joints starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean. Offsetting to front and rear endpapers. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
