Philadelphia: Conrad Zentler. Very Good. 1817. First Edition. Hardcover. Handsome full contemporary brown calf covers & red morocco label on spine with gilt lettering & gilt ruled panels. [1, 180pp]. Engraved tissue-guarded fronticepiece & vignette on title page. The author was a German-American Lutheran clergyman and professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Text is uniformly tanned throughout , tight and intact. Spine head rubbed w 1/8" loss: spine foot starting1/2" at front hinge. Devotional literature and meditations for the German American. Religion, Prayers. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 180 pages .
