The Spitzner And Goettling Works Are Apparently First Printings (1831); The Burton Is A Fifth Printing (1841); And The Tate Is A Fourth Printing (1834). Gilt Bright. Considerable Wear To Cloth With Some Fraying At Corners, Spine Cloth Split Along Upper Two Thirds Of Rear Edge And Across Spine So Held Only By Front Edge- But Easily Re-Glued; Front Hinge Solid, Rear Hinge Weak And With A Few Short Splits; Owner's Blind Stamp On Front Free Endpaper; A Few 1/8" Holes On Foredge Of Front Free Endpaper; Dampstaining Along Parts Of Foredges Of All Pages And Endpapers, Not Intruding Into Text; Many Small, Light Damp Spots On Covers. The Tate Paper Is Rare, Only 5 Copies Listed In Worldcat, None In The U. S.
