The first edition, dated 1924 to the preface and with Parker described as the 'Shooting Editor of 'The Field'' to the title page - in later reprints they removed the date, and Parker was attributed as the 'Editor in Chief of 'The Field''.A comprehensive guide to shooting, in which the author details step by step the art of shooting, from learning how to hit, safety, to the kit and gear you need. Also looking into various types of birds and how best to hunt them.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and nine colour plates.Collated, complete.By Eric Parker.Bookplate of David M. Ritchie to the front paste down. Rebound in a half calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, smart. Fading to the spine and head of the boards. A little rubbing to the spine and extremities. Bookplate to the front paste down. A few spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few scattered spots. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
