Full bound red boards, with gilt lettering to front and spine. No markings of any kind inside or out; binding is solid and square. 104 pages. A centennial history of the Ellicott City (Maryland) Volunteer Fireman's Association, beginning in 1888 with the establishment of the Volunteer Fire Company of Ellicott City No 1, initially in the form of an organized bucket brigade, and later that same year supplemented by the purchase of a hand-drawn ladder wagon. Numerous reproductions and transcriptions of original documents, and profusely illustrated with photos.
