Munich and London: Verlag C.H. Beck/Sotheby's Publications, 1990. Boards. Near Fine/Near Fine. The sweping catalogue raisonne of Nolde's oil paintings, complete in 2 volumes. Vol. I is the 1987 original edition in its native German and Vol. II is the 1990 1st English language edition, published out of London by Sotheby's Publications. Both volumes clean, tight and Near Fine in crisp, VG+ dustjackets, with very light creasing and several small closed tears along Vol. II's rear panel, and mild fading along the spine of Vol. I, with very light chipping at its spine crown. Massive, thick quartos, over 1,300 illustrations all told, mostly in crisp black-and-white but a number in color as well. Vol. I: 1895-1914; and Vol. II: 1915-1951.
