Mullan Bros, Waterloo - Liverpool, c. 1900, hardback with cloth boards, Gd., 809 pp plus advertising material and table of contents, illustrated throughout from b/w illustrations and diagrams through out, 13 full-page coloured plates, decorated end papers. Boards green/black, no inscription or annotations, title page, preface and last two pages loose, remainder of text block sound and tight, top edge gilt, light dust accumulation and foxing to front and bottom edges, pages clean and lightly tanned. Boards firm, extensively damp stained (does not affect contents), light rubs to fore-edge corners.
