About This Item
Sahag Mesrob Press West Pub. Very Good. 2007 signed first edition Sahag Mesrob Press West Pub. (Escondido, California), 6 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches tall glossy pictorial hardcover, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs, xiv, 66 pp. Slight soiling and rubbing to covers. Nicely signed by editor Paul Hagop Kalemkiarian by his name on the title page. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce memoir and family history. OCLC (No. 439172574) locates only four copies at institutions worldwide. ~JJ~ [1.5P] Hagop Boghos Kalemkiarian (1897-1958), eldest son of Boghos Hagop Kalemkiarian, wrote these memoirs of his father and their family in 1948, while they lived in Cairo, Egypt. His entire working life was with the British Forces in the Middle East. In addition, with his brother Vahram, he owned and operated the Sahag Mesrob Printing Press in Cairo. Paul Hagop Kalemkiarian, eldest son of Hagop and Alice Kalemkiarian, undertook the publishing of this memoir as a tribute, such that future generations of Kalemkiarians will have a record of their roots.
