John V. MacMillan ( 1877-1950) was the son of Alexander MacMillan, the co-founder in 1843 of MacMillan Publishing. John did not enter the publishing business, instead deciding on an ecclesiastical career and eventually becoming the Bishop of Dover, the fifth in the modern era.
