New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1957. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good binding/Good dust jacket. Stated First Edition of Commander D. A. Rayner's historical novel, The Enemy Below. Denys Rayner was a Royal Navy Officer who commanded throughout the Battle of the Atlantic, experiencing firsthand the submarine warfare on which this book is centered. Binding is cocked, with minor spotting to the edges of the textblock. Good dustjacket, with creasing and tears to the front, spots of loss to the spine, and front flap priceclipped. Now protected in a mylar cover. Good binding / Good dust jacket.
