Volume one facsimile title page; volume two with six facsimiles of title pages, specimens, autographs. "England's Helicon, one of the most beautiful of the Elizabethan poetical miscellanies and most distinguished from the point of view of of authorship, appeared in 1600." Volume one contains the the poems as well as variant readings and misprints, with an index of first lines. Some of the sweetest and most lyrical poems of the Elizabethan age where Shepherds and their Flocks abound, bounding over Arcadian fields. Volume two focuses on the history of various editions re-issued over the years from 17 century to modern, including studies of authors and editorial methods. .
