About This Item
Mittler & Sohn, Berlin, 1940., 1940. Hardcover. Very Good. Fourth revised edition. Viii, 280 pp., maps, abbreviations, dictionary, phrases, 12mo, brown cloth. A handbook designed for the use of German intelligence personnel in interrogating British prisoners with sample questions in English, legends to British maps, examples of British military communications, etc. Much intelligence obviously stolen from the allies. The book is about 50% in English, remainder in German. Original German soldier's ownership information on ffep, dated May 5, 1944, with small Canadian Military 'censored' stamp below. Perhaps taken from a captured German soldier. A scarce and highly desireable item. Very tight, bright clean copy with some browning of acidic paper, few closed tears. Minimal wear to covers. Very Good overall.
