About This Item
Octavo/8vo. Measures around 7 5/8" by 5 3/8" by 1 1/2". Red cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. Slight discolouration to spine. Scuffing and a little marking, signs of shelf-wear, some tearing to spine, bumped and slightly torn corners. Binding reasonably firm, slight slackness, a little strained in places but otherwise good. Page edges browned, scuffed and slightly tanned. Upper page edges a little rough from the way the leaves have been separated at some point. Front pastedown has attached to it an envelope with a gift inscription (possibly from a school class to their teacher) and containing some newspaper and other cuttings related to heraldry and there are some additional newspaper cuttings on the subject. The front free endpaper contains previous owner inscriptions. Some foxing to endpapers but apart from this and the inscriptions the page surfaces clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
