London: Gay & Hancock , 1912. Not Dated [1912 BL] Author was a journalist and social-welfare advocate. CONDITION Brown bds with bright gilt titles, 81 pages printed on untrimmed rag paper, full colour frontis plate with undamaged tissue guard with 9 illus plates and a nice engraved tail piece. Copy is mostly very bright and crisp with insect speckling to front cover, faded strip at top rear cover and lightly toned end pages, penciled name for ffep.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Ruby Lind (Lindsay). 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
