Bookplate of Ralph Algernon Coote [1874-1941], a major in the British army who was active in the Boer War and WWI and emigrated to California in 1942. Small bookseller deboss on first endpaper. This copy with chips at head of front board and spine, spine sunned. First leaf of index with a crease. A sound attractive copy.
