About This Item
Escape With Me!: An Oriental Sketch-book by Osbert Sitwell.
Hardback, 1939, first edition, with black and white illustrations, published by MacMillan & Co. Ltd, London, 340 pages.
Octavo/8vo (6" x 9") with green cloth boards and spine and patterned green and white dust jacket. Dust jacket is worn, with tears and chips as well as marking, foxing and scuffing. Boards are a bit marked but have largely retained their colour. Signs of shelf-wear. Binding reasonably firm though a bit strained at rear inner hinge. Browning and some foxing to page edges but generally clean. Pictorial endpapers, a bit marked. Several pages to rear a bit foxed, one a bit creased. Page surfaces quite clean, the odd bit of marking or foxing here and there but no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
