PRESENTATION TO VIVIAN DE SOLA PINTO, AND SIGNED S.T.W., but the inscription may be secretarial, with De Sola Pinto's bookplate front pastedown. Vivian de Sola Pinto was a British poet, literary critic and historian, and a leading D. H. Lawrence scholar who appeared in defence of Penguin Books in the 1960 "Lady Chatterley's Lover" trial. Author's first book, 103 pp. Bound in blue and black marbled boards, paper spine label. A very good copy with fading spine, light scattered foxing.
