Leather boards with gilt border to front and rear with diamond design on front and rear boards and black title block on spine with titles in gilt. Marbled end papers. Prev owner's ex-libris plate on ffep dated 1918. Other prev owner's name crossed out in ink at top of second front end paper. Water mark on first few pages, not main text block. Some occasional discolouration to pages with age but generally clean and tight.

Thumb-marking present. Minor dog-eared corners. Brown staining to pages throughout. Noticeable creasing to gutter. Cracking to hinges and gutters, leaving netting exposed. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Visible tanning to spine and edges. Noticeable water staining to all. Notable loss to spine ends. Some splits to spine. Moderate peeling leather to boards and spine.
