About This Item

New York: John Wiley & Son, 1866 Original Cloth. First Edition. Original light brown publishers cloth. Cloth is sunned at backstrip and shows old stains on rear board. Else covers are clean and book solidly bound. In these 10 lectures Ruskin addresses young female students and attempts to awaken in them a passion for learning in their chosen subject of study. An interesting theory of Vi ctorian pedagogy but one not likely to find favor today. A much scarcer edition than the London printing of the same year. Good/No Jacket.. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
