Paris,: Octave Doin,, 1888.. [ii], 167, [i blank] pp. 12mo (11,6 17,8 cm.). Original green, gilt lettered publisher's cloth. A quite rare work in which the author, a pharmacist from Paris, gives for the first time a practical description for the preparation of Pepsin which, those days, was lacking in the European pharmacopoiea. A very detailed study with history information. Concluded by a bibliography on Pepsin. This work was originally published in1887 as a thesis (Ecole Supérieure de la Pharmacie, Paris, 1887). According to the World Cat. held in only 3 libraries worldwide.
