Uniformly bound in half leather over nonpareil marbled paper; untrimmed fore and tail edges; gilt stamped titles and fleurons on spines with 5 raised pseudo bands; all vols gilt stamped 'Beckius' on spines; frontispiece engraved portrait of Euripedes in vol 1; vols 1 + 2 dated 1778. vol 3 dated 1788 (presume 1st edition of Beck's work). Clean covers and spines; all fore corners rubbed to boards; scuffing/scraping wear on cover papers; gilt on all volumes chipped off of 'Euripidis Tragoediae' but intact on remaining titles and designs; all volumes tightly bound but vols 1 + 2 are split at front end papers (wide bands intact); each volume has booksellers ticket on front pastedown at top fore corner 'W.H. & O.H. | Booksellers, | 440 Penn Ave. | Washington, D.C.' (bookseller Ca. 1880); interiors light and very clean - many leaves unopened at head edge. 4to, 2409 pp. Paged 54 (Vida), 701 (vol 1), 564 (vol 2), 1090 (vol 3).
