About This Item

Brentano's. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1908. First Edition. Hardcover. Red cloth boards, gilt titles. Spinal titles and cloth darkened. No DJ. Modest rubbing, edge and corner wear - slightly more pronounced at the extremeties. Small 1/4 inch hole in cloth 3/4 inch up from heel at the gutter, front edge. Clean within, hinges secure though endpapers have parted and threads show. Page edges darkened. A very solid quite nice copy of an unusually uncommon science-fiction/speculative fiction work from the early 20th century. Protected in a clear wrap-around, photo available at request of serious buyer. .

Reviews

On Jul 30 2017, a reader said:
I am intrigued by his writing and want to read all the other books, etc, he may have written. My book has a typo in it and the printer or someone placed a smaller letter where it was left out. I am so thrilled of the content and subject matter. Science Fiction such as this which main subject matter is a subject that the world is so concerned about. With the glaciers melting and shifting, nature is in control. I highly recommend this wonderful book to anyone who is interested in the natural occurrences of earth and the implications thereof. Written in 1908, President Roosevelt distinguishes this book even more. I want to read "The certainty of a Future Life in Mars:" next.
