Fine book, unopened with slight fading to binding and top of verso, where book sat next to a smaller book. No Jacket.#36 of 250 hardcovers. There were also 2500 soft cover copies. There are two very insightful sections at the beginning of this small insightful book. One is by the author about writing as a form of communicating man's dignity, intelligence and self worth or communicating scorn that belittles man is a form of simple malice. Peter S. Beagle writes in his forward and tribute to the author, " that it was a fantasy of mine in High School and College that Robert Nathan would write a forward for one of my books. This is even better".
