Fine. Unframed painting of Everett Ruess by artist Fred Calleri. Oil on canvas. Painting measures 11 x 14 inches. Titled E. Ruess with Calleris signature and date 2011 in the left corner. This image was originally commissioned by Northern Arizonas Mountain Living Magazine, where Calleri worked, as the cover for the October 2011 issue. Fine condition. The youthful face of Everett Ruess is portrayed in Calleris quirky distortion style. Everett Ruess, poet and artist, went off to explore the deserts of southern Utah in the early 1930s. He disappeared in November, 1934. The artist of this painting, Fred Calleri, has artwork in at least six galleries in the United States and has been featured in many Southwestern magazines. .
