London:: G. Bell and Sons,, 1935. Includes sixty illustrations by Ernest Shepard of which 58 are full page. Two double page maps of London bound before the endpapers. Magnificently bound in full, royal blue crushed morocco by Riviere & Son, wil elaborate gilt decorations to the front and rear board. The spine is rendered in six compartments with raised bands, decorated and lettered in gilt. The front board depicts a wonderfully executed full figure portrat of Samuel Pepys rendered in coloured leather onlays framed in gilt. Aqua marbled endpapers; all edges gilt.
