doubleday usa 1978 VG/VG dj show yellowing areas , and some tarnish marks -but nothing too unsightly. perhaps sunning? edges of dj are rolled and rubbed in some places, particularly the bottom edgewhich has very small 2 closed tears. internally a clean and bright copy no inscriptions. first US edition. The classic ''Everyman,'' thought to be a 15th-century play, archetypically Christian and medieval, is, as Frederick Franck discovered in the Far East, more than a thousand years older. It is based on a Buddhist parable predating the birth of Christ.
